Transform with your smile with straight teeth.

Orthodontic treatments, such as traditional braces and clear aligners (e.g. Invisalign), correct crowded or crooked teeth. This is more than just aesthetics; crooked teeth can be more difficult to clean and may increase your risk of cavities and gum disease. Teeth may also need to be straightened to allow other treatments to be carried out successfully, such as crowns and implants.

Your treatment options may vary for both adults and children, including fixed braces, removable appliances, clear aligners and more. Although they are not specialists in orthodontics, dentists who have pursued additional training and qualifications are able to provide clear aligners and fit braces. Your dentist at Confident Smile will recommend the best option for you after assessing your teeth and mouth condition. In some cases, this may include referring you to a specialist orthodontist.

TEETH STRAIGHTENING METHODS

Braces

  • Metal brackets and wires, there are a range of different braces options available

Ceramic Braces

  • Similar to the metal braces, except they are tooth-coloured or clear brackets that are less noticeable

Lingual Braces

  • Similar to the traditional metal braces, except the brackets and wires are placed on the inside surface of the teeth so that they are not visible.

Invisalign®

  • Invisalign® treatment uses a series of clear plastic removable orthodontic aligners that gently move your teeth. The aligners are replaced every two weeks.

QuickStraightTeeth™

  • Similar to traditional braces, this specialist-designed, simple orthodontic system is used by general dentists to align the front 6 to 8 teeth.

WHY SHOULD I STRAIGHTEN MY TEETH?

Over the years, modern and digital technology has revolutionised the way your dentist or specialist orthodontist can straighten your teeth.

Apart from making your teeth look great, there are also important functional reasons for straightening teeth:

  • Crowded and crooked teeth are hard to clean, which can, in turn, cause a range of problems in the future
  • Very prominent teeth can be more at risk from traumatic injuries. Orthodontics can move teeth into an ideal position in relation to the lips to better protect them and improve the facial profile.
  • Jaws and teeth that are in correct alignment function better, and individual teeth are not subject to excessive biting forces.

Consult a dentist or specialist orthodontist if you are concerned about your teeth or your child’s teeth.
