Dental Implants Shepperton, Surrey
Looking for a way to improve your smile? Dental Implants have you secured!
Dental Implants can permanently restore your smile if you have missing teeth. They are designed to provide you with the same look, feel and function as your natural teeth, so you will be able to eat, speak and brush like normal
WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?
Dental implants replace the root of the tooth; then, a crown is placed on top to create a full smile. Implants are an alternative to a bridge or dentures and can be used to replace one or more missing teeth, and they can even be used to hold dentures in place.
Dental Implant treatment is carried out in 2 steps:
Step 1 – The implant placement. The titanium or alloy implant is surgically placed and left to fuse with the jawbone
Step 2 – The implant restoration. The artificial tooth, crown or denture is fitted on top of the implant.
NEED TO KNOW
APPOINTMENTS
- At least three appointments are required
- At the consultation visit, your dentist will examine your teeth to ensure that this procedure suits you. They will then talk you through the whole process and make sure that all your questions are answered. You will need impressions taken of your mouth.
- At the next visit, you will have the implant replacement
- Once the implant has been allowed to fully ‘integrate’ into the jaw bone, the implant restoration is done
- Additional appointments may be needed to complete the dental implant procedure, and regular implant check-ups will be needed to ensure that everything is well maintained.
HOW LONG IT TAKES?
A single implant procedure usually takes around 1 to 2 hours.
