Most ulcers heal on their own.
Mouth ulcers are very common and usually clear up within a couple of weeks. They often appear after a minor knock, a bite, or during times of stress or hormonal change.
However, ulcers that keep coming back, last for several weeks, or appear alongside other symptoms should be checked by a dentist. In rare cases, persistent ulcers can be linked to something that needs further investigation.
Obvious. And often painful.
The signs vary, but most people notice one or more of these:

- 03Discomfort eating or brushing near the area
